Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. In clinic we will use a a range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns.

As Nutritional therapists we investigate Nutrients and how other food components influence the function of the body, protect against disease, support & improve health, and determine people’s response to changes in the environment.
Diet in some individuals and under certain circumstances can be a serious risk factor for a number of diseases.

We use a holistic approach

We look at the whole-body, how each system is linked, addressing the root causes not just the symptoms.
How dietary chemicals can act on the human genome, either directly or indirectly, to alter gene expression or structure. The degree to how diet influences the balance between healthy and diseased states may depend on an individual’s genetic makeup.

We are all unique

As Nutritional therapists we recognise that each person is an individual with unique requirements and we take time to define personal nutrition plans rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

This approach allows me to work with individual’s to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional therapy can be used as support for individual’s with chronic conditions along side conventional medicine as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing overall.

Can it work with alongside conventional medicine?
